Life goes on-

Well,
Surprise,
I have been unassigned for next year at my job. I am devastated for 2 reasons.
#1- I will lose the income
#2- the co-workers that I had were amazing! I was a sub sec. for a few months and had a look at some work environments - You could not pay me enough to do that - but now they actually train the Sub Secretaries- Now they have something more to do than read a magazine, pass out bus passes that aren't supposed to be passed out to anyone and give candy!
Years ago I did not think that I was very fond of children. My friends all started getting pregnant and so I guess that I thought that it was time. We had a good life. We started with 2 dogs, 2 cats and a house. We drove respectable cars. We both had a job that was supplying adequate benny's and income. Wow- how things can change so fast - Could you imagine trying to get pregnant for so long - then finally going to the ultrasound - they made me drink all this water - then make me wait for atleast 1 hour- I finally told my hunny - I gotta go now - DUH - you can't stop once it starts- they finally took us in and she is so nice, then she rubs the cold jelly on and says" well, there is the first one" I Look at My beloved and he looks at me - What the Hell- then she says"there is the second one". Luckily he had a grab on the counter - I love the quote out of his mouth next -" Well, you definately aren't going back to work now" Heaven to my ears! Now 12 years later- HELP

So, the Run for the Arts paper came home today - One kid is gun-ho - the other one is like, "Well we aren't going to be there next year, so why should we do it?" Well, we have always had that question at the Aucti0n and some other fund raisers by a few parents. As my Beloved spouse was grubbling under his breath how his kids wouldn't be there next year, why should he contribute (because we are strapped $ wise as it is)! I am sure that we have had parents say that in the past - That is your choice. I think that what we all need to remember is that these children that we are trying to raise now, the children that are in Foster care and the kids homeless on the street , will be the ones voting in the future, our future! Let's invest a little bit now - every dollar counts - Every Child's Education Counts. If it is only $1 , it all adds up. Please help our schools because it all trickles down to everyone in the end.

is anybody out there?

I hope that you all survived Spring Break! Well, if you were like us, you couldn't really go anywhere because that costs money ! Hey, I don't have any! So we had fun doing baseball practice and Softball- well, they couldn't practice beacause of the weather. I remember Spring Breaks when I went back to school with a sunburn! What the Hell! So much for global warming. So I told my kids the other day that we were going to get rid of unlimited texting - my daughter says "great" because she is tired of all the one word textes that she gets- Do the kids realize that each message costs something. Have you ever gone throught their messages - Hey_ sometimes that is it - are you kidding me? What ever happened to good old e.mail I love it - but as far as the phones go - just call and leave a message, or call the home phone - The texting is nice when I am at work, but if I text my husband . forget it - he can barely turn the phone on - which is how he likes it! He can't use the computer - which means that he aint lookin at porn - Wow - I guess that I am kind or starting to appreciate all that I do! Give me a pat one the back - Oh Shit - Now I have to think about out taxes!

Okay, so I forgot I had a blog

Fine, shoot me! I couldn't remember where I set one up! Geez - So take your Hunter Safety Class like my boy is doing and get out that 20gauge shotgun with a double barrel that my Dad just told me that my Grandfather gave to my Grandmother - Heck yeah - now I want to go hunt! I will still cry - but in this day and age - I honestly beleive that as long as you eat what you shoot - it is okay. My Hubby caught a Salmon last week on the Columbia - WooHoo- this chick at work says - "Geez, I wouldn't eat anything caught out of the Columbia " Wow - I told her that it dint have 3 eyes or nuttin". I think that it would be really great to grow all our own food and maybe be a vegan- but Hell, I love red meat . So sorry, what is my favorite animal -Oh and I guess that is white meat-0 a PIG, and I will have one as a pet befor I die, but heck, I love bacon and ham.
